BILL CRONIN
President, Wholesale Energy

As President, Wholesale Energy, Bill is responsible for all upstream gas, power generation and energy management activities for North America. Previously, as Chief Operations Officer, he was responsible for EMG and Customer Operations. Bill is a member of the Direct Energy Executive Committee.

Prior to this, Bill was SVP U.S. Growth Markets and had full profit and loss responsibility for Centrica's North America business activities in the Northern U.S. including the Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern states. This included residential, small commercial and C&I market.

Prior to joining Direct Energy, Bill was Managing Director, Risk Strategy and Trading with NewPower, Inc., where he managed a portfolio of 800,000 retail natural gas and electricity customers in 16 utility regions. Prior to that, Bill was at Phibro Inc., for 14 years, starting as Senior Credit Analyst and rising to Chief Financial Officer and Head of Business Development.

Bill has a BA degree in economics and communications from the Oneonta State University in Oneonta, NY.
