BOB HUGGARD
President, Home and Business Services

Robert (Bob) Huggard is President, Home and Business Services North America. He is responsible for leading Direct Energy’s retail activities throughout North America. Bob is a member of the Direct Energy Executive Committee.

Prior to this appointment, Bob was President, Canadian Operations. He was responsible for leading Direct Energy’s retail activities throughout Canada. From January, 2003 to July, 2005 Bob was the EVP, Business Services where he was responsible for the strategic development and operational performance of the business unit across North America. In addition to his Direct Energy accountabilities, from December, 2002 to November, 2006, Bob was the CEO of The Consumers’ Waterheater Income Fund Administrative Agent and had overall responsibility for the waterheater and other portfolio assets carried on by the Operating LP.

Bob has an extensive 30 year career in the energy industry and prior to Direct Energy, held senior executive management positions with Enbridge Gas Distribution. He was part of the team that took Enbridge Services Inc. into deregulation in October 1999 and subsequently sold the business to Centrica plc in May 2002.

He is a member of the Board of Directors for the SCITI Total Return Trust, The Ontario Energy Association, The Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA) and ProAction Cops&Kids, a charitable organization that funds activities led by police officers who volunteer their time to help children.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, from Dartmouth College (New Hampshire) and an MBA from York University (Ontario).
