Concerned about what's going into our environment? So are we. That's why we're pleased to offer you the Green Energy Plan. By choosing this plan, you'll feel good knowing you're doing your part to support renewable energy sources and reduce the amount of greenhouse gases that go into the environment.
- Your electricity and natural gas prices will be fixed throughout the length of your plan to protect you from future energy price increases.
- Direct Energy purchases and retires renewable energy credits (electricity) and carbon emission credits (natural gas) for our Green Energy Plan.
- For each residential customer we purchase and retire credits representing 15% (1,080 kWh) of a typical annual residential customer's electricity consumption.
- Direct Energy purchases and retires certified carbon emission credits equivalent to 100% (121 GJ) of the carbon emissions produced by the average yearly residential natural gas consumption.
