Maintain your air conditioner.  Lower your costs.

By maintaining your cooling system annually, our experts can help pinpoint potential problems before they become costly, inconvenient emergency repairs or worse, safety hazards.

Because a well-maintained system runs more efficiently, you can be sure to get peak performance from your equipment to help save on your monthly utility bills.

  • Check operational controls and thermostat

For the Outdoor Component, we will:

What you can do

Air conditioners typically draw more energy than any other appliance in your home. Try these tips to keep your air conditioner in top shape and running efficiently:

  • Keep your windows and doors closed and blinds drawn.
  • Use bath and kitchen fans sparingly when the air conditioner is on.
  • Keep your outdoor coil clear of dirt, leaves and grass clippings by cleaning it carefully with a garden hose.
  • Don't plant flowers or shrubs too close to your air conditioner, as it needs space to take fresh air in and to exhaust air out.
  • Delay activities that generate heat, such as washing clothes or running the dishwasher, until the cooler evening hours.

Repair or replace?

An air conditioner is a long-term investment that will keep you comfortable for many years to come.  If your unit is more than 15 years old, it may be more cost-effective in the long run to replace it with a newer unit offering greater efficiency and lower operating costs. The sooner you upgrade to a better, more efficient system, the sooner you can start to save money.

Warranties

Warranties vary according to the manufacturer. For protection above and beyond your unit’s warranty, you may want to consider a Cooling Protection Plan.
