Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) 

The AUC’s mission is to ensure that the delivery of Alberta's utility services takes place in a manner that is fair, responsible, and in the public’s interest.

Market Surveillance Administrator (MSA)

The MSA monitors Alberta's electricity market for fairness and balance in the public’s interest.

Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP)

CAPP is the voice of the upstream oil and natural gas industry in Canada. CAPP represents 150 member companies who explore for, develop and produce more than 98 per cent of Canada's natural gas, crude oil, oil sands and elemental sulphur.

Canadian Gas Association (CGA)

The CGA is the voice of Canada's natural gas delivery industry. The Association is made up of over 200 companies, organizations and individuals who are involved in the delivery of natural gas in Canada and the United States. CGA members are typically local gas distribution companies and transmission companies, related equipment manufacturers, and other service providers.

Together, CGA members combine to deliver safe, reliable and environmentally preferred natural gas to more than 5 million customers in Canada and to major markets in the United States.

Independent Power Producers Society of Alberta

IPPSA represents power suppliers, retailers and their supporting industries. IPPSA's vision is to promote an open, fair market for power suppliers in Alberta's competitive electricity industry.

Alberta Electric System Operator

As an independent system operator, the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) leads the safe, reliable and economic operation and planning of Alberta’s interconnected power system. The AESO also facilitates Alberta’s hourly wholesale electricity market, which has more than 200 participants and between $3 and $5 billion in annual energy transactions, and is accountable for the overall coordination of provincial load settlement.
