Direct in the Community
Direct Energy and the Chrysalis Center recently announced the formation of a partnership to enhance the quality of life for disadvantaged people in Hartford, Connecticut. Direct Energy donated $50,000 to improve the functionality of the Chrysalis Center's administration wing which will enable the Center to provide high quality support and rehabilitation services to those who need it most in the Hartford community, including single parents and their families.

The Chrysalis Center supports families through major life changes by providing long-term housing, life skills training, job training and counseling. The event in Hartford included the unveiling of a plaque officially commemorating Direct Energy's sponsorship of the administration wing and a check presentation. The check was presented to Senators John Fonfara and Eric Coleman, Steve Ruth, President of the Board of Directors at the Chrysalis Center and Sharon Castelli, Executive Director, Chrysalis Center by Direct Energy's Bob Porter, Senior Director, Northeast.
