5 Year Carbon Neutral Flat Plan

With Direct Energy, you can make a difference. Carbon dioxide is produced when we drive, fly, use natural gas or generate waste, which has a profound effect on the environment. With our 5 Year Carbon Neutral Flat Price Plan, you can offset these negative environmental impacts by becoming carbon neutral by contributing to the purchase of environmentally friendly carbon emission credits. These credits are created by initiatives such as wind farms, biomass or solar projects.

How Does This Work?

When you sign up for a natural gas price protection plan with Direct Energy, you have the option to make your natural gas consumption 100% carbon neutral. This means that Direct Energy will purchase certified carbon emission credits to offset the pollution released into the atmosphere by the natural gas you consume. All credits are certified and verified by an independent authority.
Currently, the Carbon Neutral Flat Plan rate is: 38.9¢/m³.*
