No amount of planning can eliminate accidents. It can, however, help ease the financial uncertainty they cause. Direct Energy Home Services with has found a way to help customers with the Direct Energy Accident Assistance Plan.
Benefits at a Glance†
In the event of your accidental death, the plan will pay up to $150,000, plus:
- An additional amount up to $37,500 is available towards RESPs or tuition for your eligible children, and;
- Six counseling sessions for your family.
Or, if you become permanently disabled, paralyzed, or suffer loss of, or loss of use of, a limb or limbs as a result of an accident, the plan will pay up to $150,000, based on a specific schedule, plus:
- Up to $37,500 for rehabilitation expenses, including assistance devices, and;
- Up to $37,500 for home modifications, and;
- Six counseling sessions for you and your family.
Options You Can Add
- Accidental Fracture Coverage that pays up to $10,000.
- Children’s Accidental Death Coverage of $5,000 for each eligible child.
Premiums
Your first 30 days of coverage are at no cost to you.
Choose from three benefit levels ($50,000, $100,000, or $150,000), and optional coverage for accidental fractures that pays up to $10,000, as well as childrens’ accidental death coverage of $5,000.
Children’s Accidental Death: $2.50 per month. Benefits provide $5,000 per eligible child.

Premiums are not guaranteed and are subject to change. Benefits are reduced by 50% at age 65 and terminate at age 70.
