Electricity Prices Continue to Climb

In Texas the primary fuel used in the production of electricity is natural gas. As natural gas prices go up the price of electricity in Texas goes up as well. Since October 2001 the price of natural gas has almost tripled. This upward trend is projected to continue—possibly for the next two years or more.
