This week is a great one! Can you guess why? Some of our favorite holidays are coming up (stay tuned for tomorrow’s blog about why we love Pi Day so much)! St. Patrick’s Day is this Sunday, March 17. Consider us your eco-friendly leprechauns and take some advice on how your St. Paddy’s Day can be extra GREEN.
- Get crafty—Use recycled materials to make fun, kid-friendly crafts like egg carton leprechaun hats or coffee filter shamrocks! Click here for instructions.
- Go green, vintage style—Everyone knows that you have to wear the color green on St. Paddy’s Day, but instead of buying new, check out your local consignment or secondhand store. You’ll save money and end up with some snazzy vintage threads.
- Eat green—If you plan on dying your food or beverages, avoid artificial food coloring and stick to naturally derived dyes instead. Even better, stock up on green veggies at your local farmers market and enjoy a completely green meal!
