A Rate Plan Summary provides a summary of the plan details. This document gives you the rate, fees associated with the plan and any other important plan elements that you should know about before you decide to enroll.
The rate you see on the Rate Plan Summary does not include charges from your local utility that cover the cost of delivering power to your home.
The Terms of Service outlines the full terms of a contract agreement with Direct Energy. It gives more detailed information on billing, payment, plan options and other considerations. The terms of service document is the same for all plans of the same rate type with Direct Energy. In other words, you'll see one document for all fixed-rate plans and another for all variable-rate plans.
For Illinois residents, the Uniform Disclosure statement provides an additional snapshot of plan details. Along with information you'll find in the plan summary, this statement tells you about your right to cancel and what happens when your current plan expires.
Save your energy-gobbling activities for nighttime to take even greater advantage of your free electricity nights!
Every night from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., any electricity you use is free! You only pay for the energy you use from 11 p.m. to 6:59 p.m. If you run your dishwasher or do laundry at night, have parties or binge watch your favorite shows, this plan is for you!
The rate outlines your electricity price per kilowatt-hour, which stays the same for the length of your plan contract. The rate does not include charges from your local utility that may be added to cover delivering electricity to your home.
When you sign up for an electricity plan, your start date depends on when your local utility reads your meter. Your service will usually start on the next meter read date after your enrollment is finalized. Different utilities have different meter reading schedules, so check with your utility for details.
This plan is a fixed-rate plan. Fixed-rate plans offer a stable energy price that will stay the same for the term length of your plan, protecting you from possible price spikes.
If you haven't already, you'll first need to create an account with your local utility. Unless you're moving, you should already have an account.
Have your utility account information on hand when you're ready to enroll. We'll ask you for this information so that your utility can connect you to service with us.
You can sign up by clicking the "Select Plan" button above. If you are moving to a new address, just fill out your service address information for your new home. If you are switching suppliers, we will notify your current supplier of your switch.
