Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t do as they promise The only reason I switched to Direct Energy was because I needed my due date to be after the 15th of the month. The sales representative said “of course we can do that!” Nope. My due date is near the beginning of the month and I end up with late fees every month. I’ve called multiple times and they’re never able to help. They say it’s AEP. Last December, my bill was triple the regular amount for no reason. Nothing had changed. They didn’t even investigate and said there was nothing they could do. I am now up for renual and I’m looking elsewhere.

How much deposit is required???

Good Afternoon! There is a chance a deposit could be required; however, deposits are not associated with our individual contracts, but instead with specific consumer information. Our deposits range from $0.00 - $150.00. After an enrollment order is submitted our system will run a soft credit check against the consumer information included within the application. From there it will be determined if a deposit is needed. Thanks - Kate

Do you all pay for another electric company early termination fee if decide to switch to direct energy?

what comes with this plan? How stable is it? how much additional payment would i have to pay if i exceeded the contracted KWh?

The Live Brighter 36 month rate is a fixed and stable rate and does not include any additional products. The price would be set for the entire 36-month contract that you would enroll on. The price you see listed is just an average, so it's all based on your usage. To see more details about the plan specifically you could click on the EFL or Electricity Facts Label to see the exact breakdown. The more usage you use, the less your overall average price per kwh. Is there a way to find out how much my monthly cost will be before signing up?
