Delivery Fees

Delivery fees are separate charges on your bill that come from your local utility to cover the cost of delivering energy to your home. Your utility may change these fees even if the energy rate from us is fixed.

The rates above include your energy charge from Direct Energy, current delivery fees and other charges to cover the cost of energy delivery and service.

Frequently Asked Questions

The rate includes your energy price per kilowatt-hour (kWh). The rate also includes charges that help deliver energy to your home, such as the base charge and delivery charges from your Transmission and Distribution Utility. Some of these charges are fixed and others depend on your usage. You can find your energy price per kWh and other charges in your EFL.

When you sign up for an electricity plan, you'll be able to choose the day you start service. You will usually be able to start service within seven business days.

You can sign up by clicking the "Get Started" button above. If you're moving to a new address, just use the address of your new home to fill out your service address information. If you're switching from another electricity provider, we'll them know about your switch.

With this plan, you will receive bill credits towards your account equaling your total energy charges on from your January 2021 and January 2022 invoices. Depending on your utility meter read cycle, the full month credit may not follow the calendar months. The bill credit will be forfeited by the customer if 1) there is a past due account balance at the time each credit is applied, 2) the customer terminates the contract early, or 3) the customer changes to a different plan before a credit is applied. Bill credits cannot be used toward deposits. The bill credit cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards. Free months include energy charges, delivery/transmission charges, and all other utility-related charges, but excludes taxes and non-commodity.

The first $100 Direct Energy Visa Prepaid Card will be sent after 60 days of receiving electricity supply with Direct Energy.
