Does the WeMo® Insight require an Internet connection to work?

WeMo® requires a wireless router for setup and day-to-day usage, but does not require an Internet connection, except when using Remote Access. As long as your router is ON, your WeMo units will function normally, including any Rules that you create.

Connection issues will NOT affect Rules stored on the WeMo device. It will only affect Remote Access - meaning, the Rules you have set up will still function in your local network.
