Get your bill credit in these 3 easy steps.

Enter your friend's referral code at signup.

Choose an eligible term plan (month-to-month plans not eligible).

Your $50 bill credit will be applied within two billing cycles.

Please note: Your electricity service must be active for at least 10 days to qualify for the $50 bill credit.

Rewards are issued after the referred customer completes at least 10 days of active electricity service and are typically applied within two billing cycles.

Yes. You must enroll in a term plan to earn your $50 referral credit. Month to month plans don’t qualify.

To qualify, the referred friend must meet all Direct Energy enrollment requirements and have an active residential electricity and/or natural gas account that is on flow with Direct Energy. It takes 90 days after enrollment for a new account to be considered on flow.

Note: commercial entities may not participate in the Refer-a-Friend program.

For Midwest/Northeast customers:

Program not currently available in Connecticut, Massachusetts, or New York.

Yes, Direct Energy may share basic information so your friend knows the referral was used.

Information is used only to administer the referral program, issue rewards, and comply with legal requirements. All participation is subject to the Direct Energy Privacy Notice.
