How do I switch plans with Direct Energy?

If you are on a variable-rate no-contract plan, you can switch to a fixed-rate plan with Direct Energy online quite easily:

  • Log into your Online Account Manger with your User Name and Password
  • Hover over the "Account Management" icon in the top navigation menu and click the "Switch to a Fixed Plan" link
  • You will be presented with a range of plan options and the current rates for those plans in your area
  • Choose the plan you like and follow the instructions for renewing

If you are not able to process the switch online, do not see the "Switch to a Fixed Plan" link, or cannot select the plan option you would prefer, you will need to call Customer Service at 1-888-305-3828 so that a representative can assist you.
