How to download the Direct Energy Mobile Wallet

Downloading the Direct Energy Mobile wallet is easy. From your mobile device, you can download it straight from the email you received, inviting you to use the Direct Energy Mobile Wallet. You can also download your Mobile Wallet by following these steps for your device. After you download your Mobile Wallet, it will appear as a "pass" on your Apple Wallet or Google Pay app.

The Direct Energy Mobile Wallet allows you to place your Direct Energy bill in your phone's mobile wallet app for easy access and quick payment right from your smartphone. Set it up once and it will automatically update as you pay or receive new bills.

The Direct Energy Mobile Wallet is absolutely free to use.

Depending on your device, the Direct Energy Mobile Wallet operates through your existing mobile wallet app - Google Pay or Apple Wallet. The Direct Energy Mobile Wallet gives you quick access to your bill and billing preferences and uses less space than the mobile app. You can also access your account or our app from your Mobile Wallet.

There are a couple of ways you can access your Direct Energy Mobile Wallet:

  1. Click your phone's wallet or payment app. Your Direct Energy bill will appear with your other saved bills and payment methods.
  2. Access your Mobile Wallet when you receive billing reminders.

On an Apple device:

  1. Open your wallet app
  2. Click your Direct Energy bill
  3. Click the button at the bottom right of your card to open a list of options

On an Android:

  1. Open your Google Pay app
  2. Click "Passes" at the bottom of the screen
  3. Click on the Direct Energy card and scroll down to see a list of options.

We will remind you about your payment due date, let you know when we've received your payment and tell you that your new bill has arrived. You can manage your notifications to choose how and when you want to be notified.

No, we will simply light up your screen with the notifications you have enabled.

Yes. On Apple Wallet, you can flip the Automatic Updates switch on the action screen or tap Remove Pass to stop notifications.

On Google Pay, you can access the settings within the app to turn off notifications from us or you can remove the Direct Energy card from Google Pay.

Yes, Apple and Google have built secure mechanisms for us (and only us) to update the card in your wallet. Further, the security built into your smartphone and the wallet applications ensure that your information remains yours alone.

No, Apple and Google do not currently support in-wallet bill payments. However, you can save payment methods to your Direct Energy account for easy payment from your Mobile Wallet.
