Report a power outage

Report a power outage

Texas customers - TDSP contact information

Smart meter technology is designed to automatically alert your Transmission and Distribution Service Provider (TDSP) when your power goes out.

Immediately report dangerous conditions, like fallen power lines or poles, to your TDSP, and stay at least 35 feet away.

What is a TDSP or utility company?

A TDSP (utility company) delivers electricity and gas
to your home.

Your local utility company maintains the equipment that carries electricity and natural gas to your house. The infrastructure, including wires, transformers, poles and pipes, are owned and maintained by your local TDSP.

Need Trees Trimmed Near Power Lines?

Trees and plants growing near Transmission and Distribution lines can create safety hazards and cause outages. If you notice vegetation growing too close to power lines, you can request to have it trimmed. Doing so can help prevent outages and ensure a safe environment.  Please note that the utility company will generally trim vegetation around the highest wire between electrical poles.
