Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do EXTENSIVE research...better than 95% of others I purchased this plan upon moving into our new build. We moved to TX from NOLA where you do not have the option to pick a provider. I did quite a bit of homework before committing to Direct Energy and this particular plan. It works perfectly as far as the price per KWh is concerned. As for the Alexa skill, I have had to reset the device about half the time, but managed to get it set up correctly each time. It’s not a Direct Energy issue, it’s a skills problem. Nonetheless, this program has done what it stated it would do over the past year. We use around 1,000 KWh in the cooler months and have spiked up as high as 2,650 in the past two months (June & July 2019). We do keep the house a comfortable 70 degrees. I hope this helps someone looking for an energy company and plan. Thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's electricity. The plan sucks though I signed up for this plan so that I would get the free echo dot and I could manage my plan and pay my bill via Alexa. The problem with this is that the Direct Energy skill does not work. Every time I try to link it, I get an internal 500 error. Whatever that means. I've reported the issue and still have not heard a response.

Is there Ny discount programs with a ventilator dependent toddler

Asked by: Acme411
This is a great question, thank you for reaching out! We do not have any discount programs available other than for Military customers or Friends and Family customers. However, you can always apply to get Critical Care forms from us or your Local Utility. For someone in your family to be dependent on a ventilator, we would want to make sure we have the proper documentation on your account. Thank you! - Kate

do you have average billing?

Asked by: TIsh
Yes! We definitely offer Average Billing as an option for our customers. There are a few areas of criteria you need to meet to be eligible, but we do have it! It's super convenient because it makes your bills approximately the same amount each month, and only varying slightly based on taxes, pass through charges and other possible fees. The overall annual usage is reviewed monthly, and adjustments are made based on what is actually used! That way you're not faced with a huge credit or debit at the end of your Average Billing Plan. If you'd like to sign up, just reach out to us via Live Online Chat, phone or email. Thanks! - Kate

If i put my bill right away will my power turn on right there and then

Asked by: Vero
Hi, Vero. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us with a question. When power is disconnected due to a past due balance it will automatically restore once the payment is made. The general time frame for the utility to restore the power is 2-4 hours. However, it can be quicker than that time frame.
