This plan is a great fit for people with busy households from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You'd be a great match for a free day electricity plan if you:
Our new and exclusive Free Days electricity plan gives you free electricity every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for eligible Texas homes with a smart meter. You still pay a base charge and a fixed rate for any electricity you use outside those hours, so your savings depend on how much of your usage you can shift into the free daytime window.
The rate includes your energy price per kilowatt-hour (kWh). The rate also includes charges that help deliver energy to your home, such as the base charge and delivery charges from your transmission and distribution utility. Some of these charges are fixed, and others depend on your usage. You can find your energy price per kWh and other charges in your EFL.
When you sign up for an electricity plan, you'll be able to choose the day you start service. You will usually be able to start service within 7 business days.
You can sign up by clicking "Shop plans" above. If you're moving to a new address, just use the address of your new home to fill out your service address information. If you're switching from another electricity provider, we'll let them know about your switch.
Free Days electricity plans can be worth it if your home uses most of its energy between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. When you can shift major appliances, HVAC use, or EV charging into the free daytime window, you reduce what you pay during billed hours. The plan delivers the most value for customers who already have heavier daytime usage or can make small habit changes to take advantage of free hours.
Yes, a provisioned smart meter is required because your free electricity window is based on hourly usage. The meter allows your utility to measure when you use energy so the free daytime hours can be applied correctly. This requirement is explicitly listed in the plan’s terms.
Free Days gives you free electricity every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while Free Nights offers free electricity overnight, and Free Weekends provides free usage all weekend long. The best choice depends on when your home uses the most energy. Free Days benefits daytime‑heavy households, Free Nights benefits night‑time or overnight users and Free Weekends helps households with weekend‑heavy usage.
Yes, we offer a 90‑Day Satisfaction Guarantee, which allows eligible customers to switch to another qualifying plan within the first 90 days without paying an early termination fee. This gives you flexibility to try Free Days and change plans if it doesn’t match your usage habits.
We have a wide variety of energy plans for your home to choose from.
